In my practice I offer psychotherapy for adults (18+) in need of help with various problems and existential issues. Mostly, it’s about feeling stuck in life and usually there has been a moment or situation where the decision has been made that it is time for a change. It is also possible that someone has encouraged you to seek help out of concern for your well being.
If you’ve had symptom oriented therapy in the past and found it had insufficient or temporary effect, you may now be looking or referred for insight therapy.
Wanting to untangle and being curious about why you repeatedly get stuck in the same feelings, patterns and relationships is a requirement for starting psychotherapy treatment. I will encourage you to share inner feelings, thoughts and desires as honestly and spontaneously as possible. Under the tab Psychotherapy I have described more about what this particular method of treatment entails.
Based on your treatment goals, I can propose an individual psychotherapy treatment, but also relationship therapy or group psychotherapy. We can also use a number of relationship therapy sessions parallel to the individual treatment or I can recommend that group psychotherapy be followed after individual treatment.
It is not always easy to formulate a guiding question or there might be so much going on that you don’t know where to start. Below you can find common complaints that can be treated well with psychotherapy. Feel free to contact me if your situation is not listed and you are curious if we can work together.
